1839: called Mary Ann at the time of her daughter Elizabeth's christening.

1851 census: (as Ann) living in village of Nupend, parish of Eastington, with husband and daughter. Age is 40 and place of birth is ?Goudray.

1861 census: [as Ann Holford] living at 6 Butt Lane, Wheatenhurst, with children. Age is 51 and place of birth is ?Newbar.

1871 census: (as Ann) living in Wheatenhurst, with husband and daughter. Age is 62 and place of birth is Goodridge [sic], Herefordshire.

1881 census: (as Ann) living at 44 Napier Street, with two grandchildren and a boarder. Age is 70 and place of birth is 'Hereford, New Ware' (i.e., I am sure, New Wear, Herefordshire, where we find her daughter Elizabeth living in 1851). She is described as a widow. 44 Napier St is two doors down from her daughter Esther.
