1818: The LDS have a record of the christening of one Martha Lawrey on 5 July 1818 in Houghton-le-Spring. This record has also been transcribed for FreeReg, which adds a little more information—the baptism took place in St Michael's, her father was a 'pitman', and the family dwelt in Collier Row.
1834: described as 'of this parish' in the Houghton-le-Spring marriage register (where her maiden name is spelt Lowery).
1838: Birth of son George at Collier[y] Row, Houghton-le-Spring.
1841 census: living with husband and two children at Colliery Row, Houghton-le-Spring. Age is 25–29, born in county.
1846: I have a copy of her death certificate. She died at 'the Grange Row, St Giles' of an 'Abscess in the Brain—Duration of Disease Unknown Certified'. Her age at death was 28. The informant (registered next day) was her husband John who was present at the death.
