Donald: 'a ne'er do well who served time in the RN as a Stoker. I don't know if he was a seven year or a twelve year man in the Service. He married a rather rough lady, when I was about six years of age, in Gloucester. She could not bear children. I see they went on to have two children, adopted or otherwise. I think he worked in a car factory in Swindon before emigrating to Australia around the same time as his sister, Joan. That would have been in the early 50's.'
