1919: Death is recorded in the Family Bible: 'George Davies March 23 1919'. Maureen Farrimond says that he died on the 24th at Chester hospital, during an operation to have his appendix removed.
Maureen Farrimond says that his body was taken back to Abergavenny for burial. He was laid out in the Cantref Inn prior to burial.
