Rose says: 'Joseph and his second wife Emily, who had also been previously married, were landlord and landlady of The Cantref Inn, Brecon Rd, Abergavenny. Emily was a jolly person and played the violin.'
Death recorded in the Family Bible: 'Emily Baron Mar 1 1921'. She died of milk-fever, contracted from a midwife, after the birth of her son Joseph.
