Derek says:
Can't remember exactly when Grandma Coe died, but I have a feeling it was the same year as Mum and Granddad Atkinson; I have a distinct memory of there being 3 funerals in 1969, because I was accused by my then headteacher at Leeds of skiving, on the basis that only deceit or exceptional carelessness could cause one to lose 3 family members in one year! Try March 1969, perhaps.
Margaret Cozens gives date of death as 16th March 1969, and cause as broncho-pneumonia combined with cerebro-vascular accident. She died at the family home: 3 Hamilton Terrace, Daisy Hill, Sacriston.
