1871 census: there is an Elizabeth J. Adamson working as a general servant for William Morris (mining engineer) and wife at 3 West Lane, Waldridge. Age is 15, and place of birth is Waldridge.
1876: Aged 20 at marriage, living in Waldridge Fell.
1881 census: living with husband and children at 11 East Row, Waldridge. Age is 35 [could this be an error?—I've only seen the LDS record], and place of birth is Waldridge.
1885: Maiden name from daughter Elizabeth Jane's birth certificate.
1891 census: living with husband and children at 5 North Row, Waldridge. Age is 35, and place of birth is Waldridge.
1901 census has an Elizabeth J. Holmes (born Chester-le-Street) at 51 Hylton St, Waldridge (nr Chester-le-Street), living with husband Adam Holmes, daughter also Elizabeth J., and various children. See Holmes_Elizabeth.tif
1911 census: living with husband and daughters at 5 Hylton St, Waldridge (a house of four rooms). She is aged 55, and her place of birth is Waldridge.
