The LDS have a record of the baptism of an Eleanor Mayo (parents Joseph and Ann) in St Philip's,​ Birmingham on 16 April 1838. Her birthdate is also given, though whether that comes from the original record is unclear.

1841 census: living on Wharf Street, Birmingham, with (presumably) mother and siblings. Her age is given as 5, and she is marked as having been born in Warwickshire.
